Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Adventure Climbing Company. These Terms & Conditions govern participation in all outdoor activities, courses, events and services provided by us.

By booking or participating in our activities, courses, events and services you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

Participation Statement & Assumption of Risk

It is impossible to eliminate all risk, however through experience and following best practise and national guidelines we do our utmost to ensure your safety.

It must however be understood that participating in outdoor activities involves some risk of injury. Instructors will take all reasonable care to reduce this risk. As a participant you are required to observe the safety instructions given to you during the course/event.  

Outdoor activities involve inherent risks, including but not limited to:

  • Falls and physical injury

  • Exposure to extreme weather

  • Wildlife encounters

  • Equipment failure

  • Remote locations with limited medical access

By participating, you acknowledge and accept these risks voluntarily.

Participant Responsibilities

Participants agree to:

  • Follow all safety instructions and staff directions

  • Disclose any medical conditions that may affect participation

  • Wear required safety equipment

  • Arrive on time and properly prepared

  • Behave respectfully toward instructors, staff, and other participants

Failure to comply may result in removal from the activity, course or event without refund.

Health & Fitness Requirements

Participants confirm that they:

  • Are physically and mentally fit to participate

  • Have disclosed relevant medical conditions

  • Understand the physical demands of the activity

Adventure Climbing Company reserves the right to refuse participation if a participant appears medically and/or physically unfit.

Bookings & Payments

  • Full or partial payment may be required to confirm booking.

  • Bookings are not confirmed until payment is received.

Accepted payment methods: Bank Transfer Richard Franklyn T/A Adventure Climbing Company. Details provided via email along with Consent & Medical Declaration Document.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

By Participant:

If you cancel 4 weeks or more before the course/event starts, then any course fees over and above the 50% will be refunded. If you cancel less than 4 weeks but more than 2 weeks before the course/event starts, then you will be refunded 25% of the total course/event fee. If you cancel less than 2 weeks before the course/event starts, then there is no refund provided. Adventure Climbing Company will make every attempt to run a course/event.

By Company:

We reserve the right to cancel due to:

  • Weather conditions (see Section 7 - Weather Policy)

  • Safety concerns

  • Insufficient participants (some courses require a min number)

  • Unforeseen circumstances (instructor injury, loss/theft of property or vehicle)

In such cases, participants will receive:

  • A full refund, OR

  • Option to reschedule

Weather Policy

Outdoor activities operate in varied weather conditions. Activities may proceed in rain, wind, or cold unless conditions are deemed unsafe by the instructional team on the day.

Safety decisions are final. In the event a cancellation is necessary due to weather, refunds will only be provided in exceptional circumstances. We will offer alternative dates to reschedule your course/event.

Equipment Use

  • Adventure Climbing Company provided equipment must be used responsibly.

  • Instructions given by Adventure Climbing Company staff on safe use of equipment must be adhered to at all times.

  • Participants are liable for loss or damage due to negligence.

  • Personal equipment must meet safety standards.

Liability Waiver & Release

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • Adventure Climbing Company is not liable for injury, loss, or damage arising from participation.

  • Participants waive claims against Adventure Climbing Company, its owners, staff, contractors, and affiliates.

Participants may be required to sign a separate liability waiver before the activity.

Insurance

Participants are responsible for:

  • Personal travel insurance

  • Medical insurance

  • Coverage for outdoor/adventure activities

Adventure Climbing Company’s insurance does not replace personal coverage.

Assurance

Adventure Climbing Company is run by qualified and experienced outdoor pursuits coaches and instructors. All instructors and coaches that we use hold relevant National Governing Body awards, experience and insurance for all activities offered.  

Minors

Participants under 18 must:

  • Have written parental/guardian consent

  • Be accompanied by a parent/guardian throughout the course/event.

Parents/guardians accept full responsibility.

Photography & Media Release

Adventure Climbing Company may take photographs or videos during activities for marketing purposes.

Please ensure you have selected your preferred preference on our Booking/Consent Form for use of photographs or videos taken during the activity. If this is not selected, we will assume that you provide your consent for use of same.

Code of Conduct

We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for:

  • Harassment

  • Discrimination

  • Aggressive behaviour

  • Substance abuse during activities

Participants will be removed without refund.
